The DAAD is engaged in many activities in Southern Africa. It awards In-Country and In-Region scholarships in South Africa and other Sub-Saharan African countries and promotes academic cooperation between South Africa and Germany!

NRF-DAAD In-Country Scholarship

Together with the National Research Foundation (NRF) in South Africa, the DAAD awards funding for Master and PhD degrees at South African Universities to South Africans citizens or permanent South African residents as part of its In-Country/In-Region Scholarship Programme.

The DAAD awards funding to Sub-Saharan African students for full-time Master or PhD degrees in their home country or in another Sub-Saharan African country as part of its In-Country/In-Region Scholarship Programme.
