The annual Falling Walls Lab is back in Cape Town and accepting applications from students and early-career professionals of all disciplines who want to pitch their innovative idea on the big stage.

The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom along with the University of Cape Town are hosting the Falling Walls Lab Cape Town on 22 September 2023.

Which wall will your research break? Pitch your innovative idea in just 3 minutes, showcasing a breakthrough that creates a positive impact on science and society. Join the growing Falling Walls community & win a trip to the global Falling Walls Lab finale in Berlin, Germany.

1st prize: R 15 000 & the opportunity to present your
