Rhodes & Nelson Mandela University Postgraduate Funding Fair 2024
Our Participation focused on promoting international study opportunities and the diverse range of funding programmes offered by DAAD. We engaged with current Honours students and prospective Master’s and Doctoral candidates from both universities, providing comprehensive information on how to become a successful DAAD scholarship holder.
The fair also presented a valuable opportunity for networking and collaboration with other organisations. We connected with colleagues from International Offices, the Department of Higher Education and Training, and the National Research Foundation (NRF), our partner in the NRF-DAAD In-Country Programme for postgraduate studies within South Africa.
This event particularly highlighted the importance of direct engagement with students and higher education institutions in promoting postgraduate funding opportunities. It enabled a thorough exchange of information and fostered a deeper understanding of the current funding landscape in South Africa. We anticipate that similar events will continue to be instrumental in raising awareness and facilitating academic advancement in the region.
