How can we understand and analyse the most important and consequential environmental concern of the 21st century; namely, global change? Exploring solution within the nexus of water, land use, climate, ecosystems, and biodiversity as well as response of environmental policies and economies the international master‘s programme „M.Sc. Gobal Change Ecology“ is exactly the right choice for you.

  • Transdisciplinary M.Sc. focused on global changes: environmental, ecological and societal changes such as climate change, land-use change and biodiversity loss
  • The program is part of the Elite Network of Bavaria
  • Participation in science schools, internships and international UN events is assisted
  • Small classes and close student-professor exchange
  • Language of instruction: all classes taught English, international student community
  • Duration: 2 years of full-time study
  • Academic requirements: Bachelor’s degree in biology, hydrology, meteorology, environmental informatics, geoecology, landscape ecology, geography, science of forestry or agricultural science, Philosophy & Economics, International Economics and Development, or a comparable degree. A language certificate GERMAN level A1 (CEFR) can be obtained during the first year of studies.
